Program:

Getting Past the “What” to Know and Understand the “Who” of a Person.

Lead by: Brett Goodnough (Culture Index) & Sarah Gronvold (Nesteggs)

 Brett Goodnough

Brett is a native North Carolinian.

He graduated from high school in Mooresville, NC. While in school he played clarinet and saxophone in school and with a local band. That band, The Novas Nine, actually cut a record and several of the members made a career in music. I attended college at Mitchell College with a degree in Business Administration. I spent four years in the United States Navy as a Radioman and was honorable discharged at Naval Station Mayport. I married my wife, Joan, thirty-seven years ago and we have a son, Jerald. I have thirty-two years selling and sales management experience in the Information Technology industry prior to joining Culture Index in 2007. I lived in Atlanta, GA for 27 years prior to moving to Jacksonville almost 2 years ago. Hobbies include: Fishing (fresh and salt water), music (I play clarinet and saxophone), and reading. I have been a Free Mason for 32 years. I am very active in Masonic activities including Mandarin Lodge and the Valley of Jacksonville Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Masons.

As a young patrol officer he rode “a beat” in downtown Jacksonville, where he developed relationships with citizens and business leaders, believing early in his professional life that connecting with citizens was very important to the success of what Agency is trying to accomplish: reducing and solving crime together with citizens who are engaged with their officers.

He quickly developed a reputation as a police officer who cares about people and likes to work with them to solve their public safety issues.

Sheriff Williams earned his way up the ranks to the appointed position of Director of Investigations and Homeland Security. Through his leadership, strengthening partnerships with federal law enforcement agencies, JSO deploys some of the most advanced technology available in the battle against domestic terrorism, the drug trade, and organized crime.
