The purpose of the Program Committee is to:

  • Research qualified individuals (Chamber Members) or companies that can provide useful information to our group.
  • Contact individual or group on speaking on an available date.
  • Review purpose of their talk and how it benefits the members, (no selling at the podium).
  • Remind speaker of the 15 minute time frame and show the yellow and red cards for visual reminders not to go over their time.
  • Send an e-mail 1 week prior to remind them and get a bio if not received yet.
  • Honor speaker(s) with a $25 gift certificate to their favorite charity at lunch.
  • Committee meeting upon request.

Spotlight Speaker:

  • Gather business cards from members only who have not spoken in the year prior year.
  • Schedule the bio speaker for available lunch dates.
  • Review their obligation of 5 minute time frame and what materials they can offer.
  • Thank them at the meeting (no gift certificate for bio speaker)

Audio / Video Equipment:

  • Sound system to be set up prior to meeting and broken down afterwards. (Arrive at 11:15)
  • All equipment will stay in the possession of the "equipment" person. This year (2009) is Bill Morrison.
